Better Ways to Care for Silver:
If the silver develops spots, add a little salt to lemon juice and rub the mixture onto the silver with a soft cloth, then rinse and buff with a chamois. For easier polishing, use an old sock – slip it over your hand, and use one side to apply polish and the other to buff it out. To polish old heirloom silver, add four tablespoons of lemon juice to one quart of whole milk and let your items soak overnight – then rinse and dry them. Store silver in airtight containers or wrap it in a tarnish-proof cloth. Don’t use plastic food wrap as that causes tarnishing.
Fizzy Fix for a Slow Toilet:
For a slow toilet but not completely stopped up, pour one cup of white vinegar and one-half cup of baking soda in the toilet and swish the water around until it fizzes quite dramatically. Give a few more plunges, and flush the toilet. The strong reaction between the vinegar and baking soda should clear the way. (Treasures of Home Remedies and Natural Cures by Joan and Lydia Wilen)
B-12 Shots Can Fight Alzheimer’s Disease, Depression & Anxiety
Vitamin B-12 inhibits a brine enzyme that breaks down chemicals involved in maintaining memory and mood. But 1/5 of Americans over age 40 do not produce enough stomach acid to absorb B-12 from protein in food, such as meat, eggs, and dairy products, or from oral supplements, so they don’t get a sufficient supply of the vitamin. Ask your doctor if monthly B-12 injections would be good for you. (Arthur Winter, MD)

Letter from the Executive Director

Hi Everyone,
The key to success lies in your particular manner of thinking…When you change your thinking you change your life.
As we approach the end of the year take a look back at what you’ve achieved…
- Did you accomplish and follow through with your goals? If not, what got in your way?
- What wisdom did you glean from this past year?
- What would you do differently next year?
Great ideas without action are only great ideas! Your mind is the force behind the marvelous success system within you; therefore, listen to your inner voice of truth. As 2018 comes to an end, know that on your journey of life you’re never alone. Now is the time to create and nurture a new beginning.
Enjoy the holidays with love and laughter…And remember to offer a helping hand and kind smile to others.
To Your Success, Marla Brucker, DCH, R.H. Peak Performance Coach (858) 587-0422 Marla@SanDiegoHypnosis.com
