Can’t Follow Along? Sing a Song: Straining to figure out what people are saying is exhausting. Luckily, just singing along to the radio or elsewhere will help. In a 10-week study from Canada’s Ryerson University, those who sang two hours per week - just 17 minutes per day - found it 20% easier to understand people in conversation. Singing, trains the brain to look for specific notes, sharpening the ability to hear sounds in speech. This will also help in staying alert and concentrating on Zoom calls.
Handwriting Yields Best Learning and Memory: Handwriting—not typing—while taking a writing-intensive exam makes the brain more active. Researchers say that pressing pen to paper activates the senses, creates contact between different parts of the brain, and opens up the brain for better learning and remembering. This study applied to both children and adults. (Study at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology)
Planet Mars has Lakes: Three underground lakes of water have been detected near the planet’s South Pole, and existence of a fourth lake has now been confirmed. (Study at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Bologna, Italy.)
People Begin to Feel Thirsty When They’re About 2% Dehydrated: Research has shown that dehydration can affect your physical and mental performance at levels as low as 1%—before you feel thirsty. Therefore, keep drinking throughout the day, even if you’re not thirsty. Your body will thank you.

Hi Everyone,

If you were to give yourself a grade for how you lived this past year, what grade would you give yourself?
When I’ve asked people this question, I’m surprised at how many give themselves a low grade. Then I asked them to reflect back on what they had accomplished and learned. It’s amazing how their grade automatically increased…
You have everything you need within you to become the best possible version of yourself. Believe that you can, that you’re capable of pushing yourself harder and farther than you ever have before. Believe that you’re young enough, old enough, smart enough, and strong enough to achieve your goals. Don’t let false beliefs stop you from moving forward. And certainly, don’t get sidetracked by other people who are not on the same track.
If you become sidelined, change your trajectory.
Pessimists: Complain about the wind.
Optimists: Expect the wind to change.
Leaders: Adjust the sails.
Keep your sight on your goals as you appreciate the journey along the way. Pause, in wonderment. Stop and smell the roses, and enjoy each moment with love and appreciation for who you are. Do that and then give yourself a grade.
There is music within us, we just have to pause to listen.

Upcoming Certification Training: Neuro-Linguistic Programming
We are offering online training at this time. At a later date we will be giving a weekend workshop to make up for the missed hands-on training. Register by March 12th to receive a $150 discount for this upcoming training.
