Relieve Insomnia by Pressing 2 Acupressure Points: The Spirit Gate and the Inner Gate pressure points helps balance and calm the heart, alleviate anxiety, and promote sound sleep. Both are located on the inner wrist, so you can easily reach them yourself. The Inner Gate can be found in the middle of the inner side of the forearm, two and one-half finger widths from the wrist crease. The Spirit Gate is located on the inside of the wrist crease, inline with the little finger. (Susan Lark MD)
Chewing Gum May Improve Your Mood: People who chewed gum for at least five minutes twice a day for two weeks showed improved levels of anxiety, mood, and fatigue. Their scores on tests for depression and mental fatigue were 47% better than the control group. Theory: Chewing may increase blood flow to the brain and lower levels of stress hormones. (Chifumi Sato, MD, Dept. of Analytical Health Science, Tokyo Medical and Dental University)
Soothe Stress with Holy Basil: Holy Basil is different from the basil you’re normally accustomed to. This plant, also known as Tulsi, is revered in the medical tradition of India. In a medical study, people who took Holy Basil extract daily for 6 weeks experienced significant improvement in stress-related symptoms such as forgetfulness, insomnia, and exhaustion. Overall, it was found to be 39% more effective than a placebo.
Pump Up Your Mood: Like chocolate, pumpkin seeds are a good source of the amino acid tryptophan, which improves mood—but pumpkin seeds don’t have the sugar that chocolate does. Bonus: One ounce of pumpkin seeds contains about half the daily requirement of magnesium, which strengthens bones. Sprinkle toasted seeds on soups and salads, or put raw, unsalted seeds on the top of muffins before baking. (Melina Jampolis, MD, Author of The Busy Person’s Guide to Permanent Weight Loss)
You can’t think about what you don’t want to think about without thinking about it. Therefore, shift your thought patterns to affirm what you desire.

There are lots of ways to achieve your goals…It doesn’t always have to be a straight path in getting there.
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." ~ John Quincy Adams
Testimonials
"I want to say thank you so much for this amazing hypnotherapy journey. I can't imagine a better guide than you, Marla! I really appreciate the way you are able to hold a space. Your approach is soft, nurturing and playful and yet you also project a standard of respect and accountability—toward ourselves, toward you as our guide, our classmates and other teachers. For me, this created an energy of reverence in the class(es) that encouraged me to honor myself, honor my classmates, and honor the deep work we were showing-up (vulnerably) to do together.
I have made some powerful shifts and I know it's only the beginning.
I deeply appreciate you and MIOH! Thank you!!" ~ R. Vincent

Hi Everyone,
"We must let go of the life we have planned, so to accept the one that is waiting for us." ~ Joseph Campbell
During these unusual times, many of us don't know which day is which, as they all seem to blend into each other. I look at this time as a pause from our former life into a revival of our new selves, as a time of reflection and change.
Life is now changing us…It’s important for us to shift our mindset and say yes to this new journey and to do our best to focus on being grateful for what we do have, no matter how challenging life has presented itself.
Oprah has often said; "The most valuable gift you can give yourself is time." And this is your time to be fully present.
Life is about growth and change. If you feel unsettled, pause and listen to your inner whisper. Be ready to heed the voice that speaks to your heart and soul, and become one with it. Take the time to listen; reflect, refocus, reconnect, and re-enter your life’s journey with the revival of a more empowered you.
Remember, you are not your mind. You are just the observer of your mind. If you are not happy with what you are observing, change it!
Exercise your choice to see. Walk through life with a different perspective.
Be safe and do whatever you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.
