Did You Know?

One-Ring Robocall Scam:
If your phone rings just once or twice, don’t call back unless you recognize the number. Use a robocall service such as Nomorobo (Free for landlines, $1.99 for mobile phones, Nomorobo.com), YouMail (Free for mobile phones, YouMail.com), or the service offered by your provider. None of these block all robocalls, though. If you do get scammed, call your phone service provider and ask to have the charges removed. If the provider refuses, pay your bill with a credit card, then call the credit card company to challenge the charge. (BottomLine, Steven J.J. Weisman Esq., author of Identity Theft Alert and founder of the scam information website: www.Scamicide.com).

Non-food Ways to Use Common Foods:
Cooking Oil, especially olive oil, cleans paintbrushes and lubricates squeaky hinges. Mayonnaise removes glue residue from stickers. Walnut halves conceal scratches on hardwood floors and wooden cabinets. Ketchup polishes brass and copper. Coca-Cola clears clogged drains, cleans toilet bowls, and gets grease out of clothes. (Can you imagine what it does to your body?) Salt removes the smell of onion or garlic from hands—rinse hands, apply a liberal amount of salt, rub it around, and then rinse hands in cool water. (BottomLine June, 2019)

Extremely Unusual Accommodations and Museums:
Stay in castles, ice hotels, light-houses, tree houses, or other special places—even a suite inside a Boeing 727 fuselage. (OddInns.com)

Some of today’s most buzzed-about museums are making visitors become a part of the experience. Guests are encouraged to step inside the exhibits:

1) Museum of Illusions (BigFunny.net) in Los Angeles transports visitors to eye-catching scenes that make them look as if they are hanging from cliffs or have magically shrunk.

2) Museum of Selfies (TheMuseumofSelfies.com), due to open in Hollywood later this year provides themed rooms where guests can pose and take selfies.

Letter from the Executive Director

Hi Everyone,

Do you ever feel like you’re just running in place and going nowhere fast? The reason for that is due to your thinking…For example, if I say to you; "Don’t think about eating chocolate." What did you think about…eating chocolate! That’s because when you focus on not thinking about something, you end up automatically thinking about it, which can stop you from moving forward along your life’s journey.

The same philosophy holds true when it comes to freeing your mind from negative thoughts or past experiences. By trying to move away from what you don’t like in your life, you are forced to think about it so much that you end up carrying the burden of its weight.

Running away from your past or negative thinking is a race you’ll never win…

The key to success lies in your manner of thinking. Choose to focus your energy on positive thoughts. Move in the direction of your desired outcome and you’ll naturally leave the negative weight behind you.

You are in the present moment of your future memories. Make them amazing!!!

To Your Success,
