Did You Know?

Make Learning Easier:
The smell of cinnamon can even help boost your memory and cognitive function. When you’re learning a new language or another skill, or studying for a test, sip cinnamon tea using the recipe noted earlier, or keep a small bottle of cinnamon
essential oil with you and occasionally take a good whiff.

Music Enhances Health:
Studies have shown that music enhances health by providing physical benefits
beyond mood improvement. Singing, playing instruments, and listening to music
can improve cardiovascular health by stimulating the vagus nerve, which
connects the brain to the stomach, promoting relaxation and reducing
inflammation. Music also improves heart-rate variability—the heart's capacity to respond swiftly to bodily changes—and lowers stress hormones and blood pressure. Additionally, exercising to music can boost endurance, distance, and
duration.

Brushing Teeth Before or After Breakfast:
Surprisingly, before breakfast. Mouth bacteria peak when you wake up, which is why you have bad breath. Eating breakfast, especially if it contains sugar, causes bacteria to multiply. (Remember, carbs convert to sugar.) Brushing before breakfast clears bacteria and boosts tooth-protective saliva. If you brush your teeth after eating, wait 30 minutes before brushing to avoid damaging tooth enamel, especially if you drink acidic beverages such as coffee or orange juice.

Apple Pie Spice Helps Lower Risk of Heart Disease:
The spice blend, which includes cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice, has
been shown to reduce blood pressure, improve cholesterol levels, and lower the risk of heart disease. Enjoy it in coffee or as a topping for oatmeal and fruit. (Joel Kahn, MD, Wayne State School of Medicine.)

Inspirational Quotes

"Boundaries are not walls to keep things out; they are bridges to let the right things in."

"If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito." ~ Dalai Lama

"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart." Eleanor Roosevelt

"Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Testimonials

"I attended your training at a hypnosis conference on Energy Psychology and am quite impressed by the energy therapy modalities and the way you presented them. I could feel your compassion in your presentation. I am a licensed psychotherapist. I want to learn more about this work and attend future workshops and training sessions offered by you and your institute. Please keep me informed." ~ A. Gilbert

"The training in Energy Psychology is amazing; most of all, the personal results are remarkable. The techniques taught in class have helped me through some tough issues. I am much calmer and better able to handle stressful situations. Most of the ‘blocks’ have been eliminated. My clients are also experiencing fantastic changes, as if a veil has been lifted." ~ James A., LCSW

Letter from the Executive Director

Hi Everyone,

"It’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves." ~ George Malory

Everyone has a story. It’s how we feed the story that may perpetuate other stories or entirely change its meaning.

I’m reminded of this legend:

A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt about a tragedy that had occurred on the reservation. He said, "I feel I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One is vengeful, angry, and violent, and the other is loving and compassionate." The grandson asked, "Which one will win the fight in your heart?" The grandfather replied, "The one I feed."

By holding yourself accountable for how you choose to respond, you harness the power of your mind so it works for you, not against you.

"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.  Always be kind."  ~ Robin Williams
