Did You Know?
Feel Less Overwhelmed: Sniff a bar of soap. Swamped by a big to-do list? Grab a bar of soap and take ten deep sniffs. Doing so calms a racing mind as well as medication. Experts say 90 percent of soaps are infused with a natural scent compound called linalool, which studies found promotes relaxing, sedative effects. To ensure yours is packed with calming fragrance, opt for a scent like lavender, which is naturally high in linalool.
Lower Risk of Falls with Rosemary Oil: Misting your pillow with rosemary water before bed may help lower your risk of a fall. The theory is based on several studies: One found that aromatherapy improved cognitive function as rosemary may have a neuroprotective effect and could also help some types of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Cognitive decline is linked to an increased risk of falling; therefore, finding ways to protect your brain health is important. To try this
yourself, add four drops of rosemary essential oil to a mister bottle filled with water and spritz. Bonus: Spritz your scalp, too, as it may boost hair growth (Research publishedin Frontiers in Neuroscience.)
Practice Preventive Medicine – Laugh!!! The late writer Norman Cousins referred to laughter as ‘inner jogging." There is scientific proof that it oxygenates the blood, improves respiration, stimulates the body’s immune system, and produces endorphins, which are a natural relaxant and help relieve
pain. And one more perk: it also burns calories. Scientific studies have shown that five to ten minutes of laughter first thing in the morning improves blood pressure levels.
Eat too much over the holidays? Drink ginger tea after a heavy meal. Steep ¼ teaspoon of powdered ginger in a cup of hot water for five minutes or let a few small pieces of fresh ginger root steep, then drink the tea slowly. It helps with digestion and eases bloat ing.

When we willingly accept compliments, we are reminded that others see us through different eyes.
"It never hurts to see the good in one another; they often act the better because of it." ~ Nelson Mandela
"Remember, there's no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end." ~Scott Adams
Testimonials
The possibilities for hypnosis are endless. People all across the world are using hypnosis to stop smoking, lose weight, eliminate phobias, and ultimately achieve success. These are just a few examples of what hypnosis can do for you.
I’d like to take a few moments to explain hypnosis and to share my ownexperience with the Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy (MIOH).
Hypnosis has helped me to build confidence and overcome social anxieties. I used to find myself quiet and timid in social situations. After applying the
many techniques I had learned while studying hypnosis at MIOH, I was able to gain control over my thoughts and feelings. To my amazement, I am now outgoing and self-assured. The Motivational Institute of Hypnotherapy has given me the tools for success. I am a completely different and more self-assured person from when I started the training. Friends and family have noticed my changes, and that reassures me the changes are real. I am in such praise for all the good things MIOH has done for me. Whether you’re looking to
change or enhance your career or just to grow or empower yourself with success, this is the place for you! Thank you, Marla Brucker and MIOH." ~ M. Hunter
