Did You Know?
Easy Fix for Car Scratches: Kids’ waxy crayons are ideal for covering scratches on your car’s exterior finish – plus, with so many crayon colors available, it’s easy to find a close match to your car’s paint. Just rub the crayon over the scratch, then buff with a soft cloth.
Avoiding Brain Freeze: Have you ever eaten ice cream or drank a smoothy too quickly and experienced a brain freeze? According to Johns Hopkins University, one theory is that when the roof of your mouth interacts with something cold – like ice cream – the blood vessels between your mouth and brain constricts and then rapidly open. The pressure from this causes cold neuralgia, or ice cream headaches (brain freeze). One way to combat this freeze is to push your tongue to the roof of your mouth to help warm the area. Enjoy your ice cream.
Mosquitos Like Red: Mosquitoes locate humans to bite partly by zeroing in on the carbon dioxide we exhale – but they also are drawn to the colors we wear. Recent findings have shown that a common mosquito species was found to be attracted to red, orange and black…but ignored green, purple, blue and white. While changing your wardrobe may help deflect bites somewhat, all human skin regardless of pigmentation, gives off a red-orange signal.
Nonfood Ways to Use Common Foods: Cooking oil, especially olive oil, cleans paintbrushes and lubricates squeaky hinges. Mayonnaise removes glue residue from stickers. Walnut halves conceal scratches on hardwood floors and wooden cabinets. Ketchup is good for polishing brass and
copper. Coca-Cola clears clogged drains, cleans toilet bowls and gets grease out of clothes -- can you only imagine what it does for the body? Salt, removes the smell of onion or garlic on hands – rinse and apply a liberal amount of salt, rub it around, then rinse hands in cool water.
Inspirational Quotes
Don’t walk 30 miles in my shoes, that would be boring, spend 30 seconds in my head, that will freak you out!
A bird sitting on a tree is not afraid of the branch breaking because her trust is not on the branch but on its own wings…Always believe in yourself.

"Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious – and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." ~ Walt Disney

Hi Everyone,
"A stranger is a friend you haven't met yet." ~ Sol Fineblum
While visiting their son's school, his parents noticed a brightly colored bench in the yard. Wondering, they asked if that was the only place to sit. The son said, ′′ No, that's the Friendship Bench. When someone is lonely or can't find a game partner, they'll sit there, and others invite them to play."
His parents thought it was a great idea and asked if he had used it. He said ′′Yes, at the beginning of the year when I was new at the school. I sat there, and another student invited me to play with him. This made me happy. And now, when I see someone sitting there, I invite them to play."
What a great idea for shared
kindness to be implemented in all playgrounds, schools, and elsewhere. Sometimes people just need someone to sit by them, letting them know they are not alone.
There is no such thing as a small act of kindness…every act creates a ripple with no end. ~ Scott Adams
